Business graduate, coffee lover & fitness enthusiast
Being a challenge seeker and passionate learner, I made a decision back in 2011 to leave my life in Slovakia behind and move to the UK to study management at Warwick Business School. Looking back at my university journey now, I must say that it has been rather an exponential learning curve and a big challenge in many different ways.
As a part of my studies, I finished a 3-month summer internship at a global technology company Verizon Enterprise Solutions where I joined the Bid management team to develop their very first presentation builder capability. In my second year, I attended a 3 week cultural and academic program Study in China. The unique university program consisted of Chinese Language and Chinese Business Culture classes which has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the subtle cultural differences in business as well as in the day-to-day life. Lastly, August 2014, I successfully completed a 14-month placement at Microsoft UK. I joined the marketing team in Microsoft Services division to drive the execution of internal and external marketing projects. My Microsoft year was an incredible ride not only because I was able to contribute to the success of each project, but having been the very first intern in Services Marketing, I also shaped my role, gave it a brand and made it an integral part of the team.
And what about 2015? Well, it iseems my academic journey is completed, at least for now. I can proudly announce that I have successfully graduated with a Class One Honours degree in Management from Warwick Business School. Interested to see what it feels like to graduate? Have a look:
